Featured Project: Cannabis Tax Revenue Allocation Report for the County of Los Angeles
During his tenure with the County of Los Angeles Department of Consumer and Business Affairs’ Office of Cannabis Management, Julian led the response to a Board of Supervisor’s motion to develop recommendations guiding the strategic distribution of cannabis-generated funds. This report provides detailed research and recommendations on how tax revenue can be allocated to maximize public benefits and repair harms from cannabis criminalization, including funding for social equity programs, community reinvestment, and educational initiatives. Julian’s insights have helped the County create a framework for using cannabis tax revenue to address community priorities effectively and equitably.
